Zhaokun Li Moves to WR3 in 3x3 Average
Li records a 4.34 average at Huanggang Open 2026, moving to third in the world behind Xuanyi Geng and Yiheng Wang.
Zhaokun Li recorded a 4.34 3x3 average at Huanggang Open 2026, moving to third in the world. The result moves Li behind only Xuanyi Geng’s 3.71 world record average from Deqing Small & Special 2026 and Yiheng Wang’s 3.90 from Taizhou Open 2025.
Li’s final-round average came from solves of (5.40), 3.88, 4.83, (3.72), and 4.30, finishing third in the round behind Xuanyi Geng and Yiheng Wang.
Li entered the competition with a 4.59 personal record average, which already ranked sixth in the world. The 4.34 improves that mark by 0.25 seconds and moves him ahead of Yufang Du’s 4.36 from Hangzhou Open 2026.
The podium at Huanggang Open was especially strong. Xuanyi Geng won the final with a 4.15 average, while Yiheng Wang finished second with a 4.24. Li’s 4.34 made the event one of the deepest 3x3 podiums of all time.
