Yifan Wang recorded a 12.71 3x3 Blindfolded single at Please Be Quiet Hefei 2026, setting a new Asian record and moving to third in the world.
The result makes Wang the third person to record a sub-13 single in the event, joining Charlie Eggins and Tommy Cherry. Eggins currently holds the world record at 11.67, while Cherry ranks second with 12.00.
The 12.71 also moves Wang back to No. 1 in Asia, passing Phillip Maxwell’s 13.81 from Indonesian Championship 2025.
Wang previously held the Asian record with a 14.06 single at Cube Camp in Nakhon Nayok 2024. His new 12.71 improves that mark by 1.35 seconds.
Wang’s final-round results were (12.71), (DNF), 20.48, 16.94, and 17.93, giving him an 18.45 average and the event win.
