Tymon Kolasiński Drops 4.49 3x3 Average and Reclaims 7x7 European Records
Kolasiński recorded a 3x3 personal best, came within hundredths of his own 4x4 world record average, and took back both 7x7 European records at NxN in Jura 2026.
Tymon Kolasiński delivered one of the strongest multi-event performances of the weekend at NxN in Jura 2026, highlighted by a 4.49 3x3 average, a near-world-record 4x4 round, and both European records in 7x7.
The 3x3 result was one of the biggest results of the weekend. Kolasiński recorded a 4.49 average in the second round with solves of 4.10, (5.41), (3.85), 4.72, and 4.64. The result was a personal best and moved him to seventh in the world for 3x3 average.
Kolasiński also came extremely close to improving his own 4x4 world record average. In the second round, he opened with 15.60, 19.29, 18.44, and 18.08, giving him world-record best possible average heading into the final solve.
A 24.91 on solve five ended the world record chase, but still left him with an 18.60 average, just 0.04 seconds behind his current 18.56 world record from Seoul Winter 2026.
The strongest record result came in 7x7, where Kolasiński reclaimed European records from Timofei Tarasenko. In the final, he recorded solves of 1:51.35, 1:40.86, and 1:34.32 for a 1:42.18 continental record mean.
The 1:34.32 also set a new European record single.
The 7x7 result put Kolasiński back ahead of Tarasenko in both single and mean, continuing one of the most active record battles in big cubes.
Across one competition, Kolasiński added a top-10 world 3x3 average, nearly broke his own 4x4 world record average, and set both 7x7 European records.
It was a reminder that even with the global 3x3 rankings moving faster than ever, Kolasiński remains one of the most complete NxN solvers in the world.
