Tomy Cherry Wins 3x3 Blindfolded at NAC 2026
Cherry took the title with a 14.19 single in the first NAC 3BLD final held under the new five-solve format.

Tommy Cherry won 3x3 Blindfolded at the 2026 North American Championship, recording a 14.19 single to claim the title in the event’s first NAC final under the new five-attempt format.
Although competitors now receive five solves, placement is still determined by the fastest successful single. Cherry’s 14.19 proved to be the best result of the round by over a second and a half.
Final Podium
🥇 Tommy Cherry (United States) - 14.19
🥈 Noah Swor (United States) - 15.74
🥉 Calix Tang (Canada) - 16.70
North American Championship Podium
🥇 Tommy Cherry (United States) - 14.19
🥈 Noah Swor (United States) - 15.74
🥉 Calix Tang (Canada) - 16.70
The early pace was set by Jeff Park and Graham Siggins. Park recorded a 17.80 on his second attempt to take the initial lead, while Siggins followed closely with a 17.93.
The standings began to shift on solve three. Noah Swor moved into first with a 16.44, Park improved to 16.76, and Brayden Thompson recorded a 16.88 to enter the podium picture.
Because blindfolded competitors complete attempts at different speeds, the leaderboard developed unevenly throughout the round. Some solvers had already finished four attempts while others were still working through their third, making the live standings difficult to read until the final stages.
Swor lowered the leading time again on solve four with a 15.74. The solve included several visible lockups, and he reacted with frustration despite taking the lead, appearing to recognize that he had left time on the table.
Cherry then received the same scramble and delivered the decisive 14.19.
The result moved him into first and placed the pressure back on Swor and the rest of the field heading into the final attempts. Calix Tang later recorded a 16.70 to move into third.
The title felt all but secured when Swor DNFed his fifth solve. Cherry realized he had likely clinched the title, and broke into a smile while the room remained nearly silent for the remaining competitors.
Brayden Thompson was the final solver to complete an attempt. His DNF officially ended the round, allowing Cherry to celebrate with a calm fist bump.
Cherry said afterward that he had been extremely nervous during the final. He also revealed that his camera had stopped recording, forcing him to ask others in the room whether they had captured footage of the winning solve.
Cherry’s full set was DNF, 18.07, DNF, 14.19, and 16.84. The 14.19 gave him the championship ahead of Swor’s 15.74 and Tang’s 16.70.
The new five-solve format created more opportunities for recovery, but the final still came down to the same central challenge of 3BLD: one clean solve under pressure. Cherry produced the fastest one when it mattered most.
