Cherry entered this competition off of his second-place finish in 3x3 Blindfolded at Rubik’s WCA World Championship 2025, and has long been regarded as one of the world’s elite blindfolded specialists, holding multiple world records and championship titles throughout his career. His latest achievement returns him to the top of the event after Charlie Eggins briefly held the record with an 11.67-second solve earlier this year.
The now 15-time world record holder improves the previous benchmark by 0.11 seconds, once again pushing the limits of what many believed possible in one of speedcubing’s most demanding events.
