Timofei Tarasenko Sets 1:43.20 European Record 7x7 Mean
Tarasenko moves to sixth in the world for 7x7 mean and records the second-fastest single in European history at Uzbekistan Nationals 2026.
Timofei Tarasenko recorded a 1:43.20 7x7 mean at Uzbekistan Nationals 2026, breaking his own European record and moving to sixth in the world.
Tarasenko’s final-round solves were 1:48.50, 1:37.65, and 1:43.45. His 1:37.65 single also set a new Russian record, moving him to seventh in the world and second in Europe behind only Tymon Kolasiński.
Tarasenko entered the competition as one of Europe’s strongest big cube solvers and had already held the continental record in 7x7 mean. His 1:43.20 lowers that mark again while moving him deeper into the top tier of the world rankings.
The 1:37.65 single also places Tarasenko among a small group of competitors to officially solve 7x7 under 1:40. Only ten competitors have ever recorded a sub-1:40 single.
Tarasenko won both rounds of 7x7 at Uzbekistan Nationals, finishing the weekend with a European record mean, a Russian record single, and two of the strongest results of his career.
