Timofei Tarasenko Claims His First European 7x7 Mean Record
Tarasenko records a 1:44.00 mean at Bravo BKK Cube Open 2026, passing Tymon Kolasiński and moving to seventh in the world

Timofei Tarasenko set a new European record in 7x7 mean at Bravo BKK Cube Open 2026, recording a 1:44.00 mean with solves of 1:41.72, 1:47.50, and 1:42.79.
The result improves on Tymon Kolasiński’s previous European record of 1:44.32, set at Bergen Fall 2025. Tarasenko’s 1:44.00 moves him to seventh in the world rankings for 7x7 mean.

The record marks Tarasenko’s first time holding the European 7x7 mean record and represents a notable shift in an event where the European record has been held by either Tymon Kolasiński or Ciarán Beahan since 2018, aside from a 12-day period when János Bereczki of Romania held the mark.
Tarasenko had already moved into the world top 10 earlier this year with a 1:47.22 mean at MYHM HaNxNoi 2026. That result ranked ninth in the world at the time, with solves of 1:51.04, 1:49.13, and 1:41.48.
The new 1:44.00 continues a strong run for Tarasenko across events, adding a European 7x7 record to a résumé that already includes elite results from 2x2 through 7x7, along with Megaminx.
