Teodor Zajder Sets 0.96 European Record 2x2 Average
The Polish speedcuber breaks the shared 0.97 mark and takes sole possession of the European record at Oslo Open 2026.
Teodor Zajder recorded a 0.96 2x2 average at Oslo Open 2026, setting a new European record and becoming the first European competitor to officially average below 0.97 seconds.
Zajder’s final-round solves were 1.01, (0.66), 0.89, 0.97, and (1.99). After removing the fastest and slowest attempts, his three counting solves produced the 0.96 average.
The result improves the previous European record of 0.97 by 0.01 seconds. That mark had been shared by Zajder and Antonie Paterakis of the Netherlands.
Zajder had already recorded two separate 0.97 averages, first at Energy Cube Białołęka 2024 and again at Cube4fun in Bełchatów 2025. His result in Oslo pushed the continental record below 0.97 for the first time.
The performance also adds another elite 2x2 result to Zajder’s résumé. He has recorded several of the fastest averages in European history and previously held the 2x2 world record single with a 0.43 at Warsaw Cube Masters 2023.
Zajder won the Oslo Open final ahead of Tymon Kolasiński, who finished second with a 1.49 average, and Stefan Zajder, who placed third with a 1.51.

He's my favorite. I think it's the bucket hat.
His old 1.06 NR Average was also a +2 out of 0.96 ER if I remember correctly
