Stanley Chapel Claims Second NAC Title with Dominant 4BLD Victory
The blindfolded star records the fastest 4BLD solve of 2026 and continues his pursuit of a third North American Championship title.
Stanley Chapel has won the 4x4 Blindfolded title at the 2026 North American Championship.
After earlier winning 5x5 Blindfolded, Stanley added another North American Championship title to his collection, capturing the 4x4 Blindfolded crown with a stunning 55.15 on his second attempt.
Chapel was already in position to win after opening with a 1:03.43, a time that would have topped the field on its own. Instead, he raised the bar even higher on solve two, becoming the only competitor under one minute and recording the third-fastest 4BLD solve in history. It also stands as the first sub-one-minute solve of 2026.

The performance continues Chapel’s unmatched legacy in the event. He remains the only competitor to ever complete a sub-one-minute 4BLD solve in official competition, and his winning result marked the 16th such solve of his career.
With back-to-back blindfolded titles already secured at NAC 2026, Chapel now turns his attention to 3x3 Blindfolded, where another championship remains within reach. Despite entering the final as the ninth seed after recording an 18.36-second single in the opening round, one of speedcubing’s most accomplished blindfold specialists will once again be among the favorites to watch.
