Luke Garrett Keeps His Composure to Win NAC 2026 One-Handed Title
Garrett led from the opening solves and delivered under pressure to earn his first NAC One-Handed championship.
Luke Garrett is the NAC 2026 3x3x3 One-Handed Champion, holding off a loaded final to win the North American title with an 8.79 average.
Garrett took control from the very beginning, opening the final with consecutive 7.42 and 7.96 solves while both Max Park and Neo Cuares counted 9-second solves within their first three attempts.
The biggest distraction of the round came during Garrett’s fourth solve, when the crowd erupted after Eli Parker posted an 8.20 on a neighboring station. Garrett never lost focus, preserving his lead heading into the deciding solve.

With the title on the line, Garrett needed a 9.79 or faster on his final attempt to stay ahead of Max Park. He responded with a 9.06, sealing the NAC championship.
The moment immediately became one of the most emotional of the weekend. Garrett’s family celebrated from the front row, with his mother overcome with emotion. Speaking with Speedcuber’s Digest afterward, she said, “No one deserves it more.”
In his post-event interview, Garrett called the victory one of the greatest accomplishments of his career, explaining that performing well under the pressure of major competitions has often been a challenge. He said his turning felt off early in the competition, but a small adjustment to his cube setup helped him find his rhythm.
Garrett also said he was especially proud of maintaining his composure through the crowd reaction during the round, a moment that could have easily broken his concentration.
He closed by thanking his family and friends for their support.

Garrett’s combination of a fast start, steady nerves, and a clutch final solve earned him the NAC 2026 One-Handed title in memorable fashion.
