Lim Hung Sets 7x7 World Record Single
Lim records a 1:32.92 single at UniKL MIAT Cube Open 2026, moving to first in the world for 7x7 single

Lim Hung set a new 7x7 world record single at UniKL MIAT Cube Open 2026, recording a 1:32.92 in the second round.
The result improves on Max Park’s previous world record of 1:33.48, set at Nub Open Trabuco Hills Fall 2025. Lim previously ranked third in the world with a 1:34.39 single from Singapore Warm Up January 2026.
Lim’s second-round results were 1:32.92, 1:50.69, and 1:38.35, producing a 1:40.65 mean that also set a new Asian record.
The world record moves Lim from third to first in the world rankings for 7x7 single and marks his first world record in the event.
Lim has been one of the top big-cube solvers in the world, with top-10 rankings in both single and average/mean for 5x5, 6x6, and 7x7. He also finished third in 7x7 at both the 2023 and 2025 World Championships.
Lim was previously the final 3x3 With Feet world champion, winning the event at the 2019 World Championship before the event was removed from the WCA event list. He remains the only competitor to record an official sub-20 average in 3x3 With Feet.
