Miller entered Grand Finals with the bracket advantage after defeating Santucci earlier in the event. That meant Santucci needed to win two matches in Grand Finals to take the title, while Miller needed only one. Santucci worked his way back through the bracket to force the rematch, but Miller closed out the event in the opening Grand Finals match.
The result cuts Santucci’s season head-to-head lead over Miller to 2-1. Santucci had won each of their first two PSL meetings, while both competitors had already qualified for the PSL Championship at the end of the year by winning separate PSL events earlier this season.
If Miller and Santucci meet again at the PSL Championship, the season series will carry added weight from one of the closest finishes of the PSL season.
