Khatri records a 3.91 single at Surat Cube Open 2026, setting a new Indian national record

Divyaansh Khatri recorded India’s first official sub-4 3x3 single at Surat Cube Open 2026, setting a new national record with a 3.91 single in the final.
His previous personal best was 5.98, which ranked 34th in India before the competition. The result moves Khatri to 29th in the world and 13th in Asia for 3x3 single.
Khatri won the final with a 7.32 average, finishing with times of (3.91), 6.53, (9.86), 8.07, and 7.36. The result marks a major jump for Khatri, who was competing in his 14th WCA competition.
Solve Reconstruction
Khatri later posted a reconstruction of the solve, with a 37-move solution for roughly 9.5 turns per second. The solve featured an 18-move F2L into EO/ZB last layer. Although technically a double X-cross, Khatri noted that he saw three pairs during inspection and was able to track his fourth pair while solving.
