Daniel Rush had one solve left in the 6x6 final at the Cubestuff Challenge Centurion Q4 2026 in South Africa. He stopped the timer at 1:03.89, setting the African single record and bringing his mean down to an African record of 1:12.75.
Rush opened with a 1:19.00 and followed it with a 1:15.37. All three solves count toward the mean in 6x6, so both times were locked in. On his last attempt, he cut 11.48 seconds off his second solve to take both records and win the final.
Rush now holds the African single and average records in every event from 3x3 through 7x7. Of those five events, 6x6 is where he ranks highest in the world for both.
