Charles Daloz-Baltenberger Moves Europe to the Brink of Sub-15 3BLD Average
The French blindfold specialist posted a 15.06 average at Phalsbourg Saint Antoine 2026, moving within six hundredths of the 15-second barrier.
Charles Daloz-Baltenberger came close to one of 3x3 Blindfolded’s biggest milestones, recording a 15.06 European record average at Phalsbourg Saint Antoine 2026.
Competing in the first round, Daloz-Baltenberger opened with a 14.65, followed by 15.12 and 15.20. After a DNF on the fourth attempt, he closed with a 14.85 to secure the 15.06 average. The result improves his own continental record and leaves Europe just 0.07 seconds away from its first officially recognized sub-15 3BLD average.
The performance also continues Daloz-Baltenberger’s climb as one of the top blindfolded solvers in the world. His current 3BLD personal bests now stand at 13.22 single and 15.06 average, ranking him No. 1 in France for both and No. 1 in Europe for average.
Jens Haber finished second in the round with a 17.65 German national record average, giving the event two major record-level results at the top of the standings.
For Daloz-Baltenberger, the result adds to an already strong 2026 season. Earlier this year, he won the French Championship 2026 3BLD title with a 16.72 average, and his latest result now puts him on the doorstep of a barrier that very few competitors in the world have approached.
