AsR Single & WR2 Once Again: Yiheng Wang Records 5.85 OH Single

One day after recording his first sub-3 3x3 single, Yiheng Wang gets his first sub-6 one-handed single at Zhanjiang Open 2026, becoming just the second person to break the barrier.

Yiheng Wang recorded a 5.85-second one-handed single during the finals at Zhanjiang Open 2026, just one day after his 2.77 Asian Record single in 3x3. The result moves him to first in Asia and second in the world for OH single, behind only Dhruva Sai Meruva’s 5.66 world record.

The single came as part of Yiheng’s 9.29 OH personal record average:

(9.84), 9.45, (5.85), 9.60, 8.81

The result places him fifth in China and 39th in the world for average.

The 5.85 also shows that CFOP still has a place at the very top of world-class one-handed solving, even as the Rouxvolution continues. It is another reminder that Yiheng is more than just a 3x3 specialist, separating himself from much of his competition and showing that he is not going away anytime soon.
